Let’s Put the ME in MEntal Health!

May is Mental Health Awareness month - although for everyone at Move Forward and our clients, every month is really mental health awareness month.

Which is why this year (as it was last year) it was already May 8th when our Director of Team Experience Becca Marcus said “We need to do something for Mental Health Awareness month! Something that we can do together as a team, and raise money for a cause!”

In a perfect world, that statement would have been made in March to give us time to put something together.

So our response was, “Agree completely. If you can put something together to launch before the month is over, we’ll support you 10000%”. To no one’s surprise, Becca said, “Challenge accepted!”

Exactly one week later, we beta-launched our campaign internally, and a day later, we were ready to launch it to the rest of the world:

We are thrilled to announce our “Put the ME in Mental Health” campaign!

Our hope is that this campaign and this phrase will remind everyone that we aren’t prioritizing our own mental health, then we will not be able to show up as our best selves to support anyone else’s mental health.

We also wanted to celebrate all mental health clinicians because you are literally the ME in mental health for your clients and community.

For anyone who wants to participate in this campaign:

  1. We have created a swag store with everything from T-shirts to candles with our “I Put the ME in MEntal Health” graphic on it, and for the rest of May $5 from every purchase will be donated to the SeekHer Foundation. (But the campaign is going to keep going beyond May and for the rest of the year $2 from every purchase will be donated to SeekHer Foundation.)

  2. You can make a social media post on FB, IG, TikTok saying how YOU put the Me in Mental Health with #putthemeinmentalhealth, and tag @MoveforwardVAs and we’ll reshare.

  3. Reshare/stitch/comment on our social media content to boost the message.

If you aren’t familiar with the SeekHer Foundation we encourage you to go to their website and learn about the important work they do to support women’s mental health. We are thrilled to be contributing to their work.

PS. All of our VA’s are competing to see who sells the most merch, and they each have a personal discount code for 10% until the end of May - so if you know any MFVA team members, hit them up for their personal link before you shop!
