Software That Can Make Your Life Easier (Part 1)

There is so much technology out these days. New products and systems are getting added to the Interwebs all the time. It can be hard to keep up.

We know you are busy running your therapy, counseling, or medical practice and you likely aren’t spending hours researching the latest and greatest technology. At Move Forward Virtual Assistants, we have decided to highlight some of the software we love.

There is so much to share with you that we had to break it into two separate posts, here is our first list, tune back later this month for the second:

1.) Acuity

Acuity is a scheduling app. It is great for scheduling appointments, meetings, and events to eliminate the back-and-forth when trying to nail downtimes. Rather than your mental health virtual assistant using an email chain or playing phone tag, you simply send your availability with an Acuity link. The link will show when you are available providing options for your appointment. It works even if the recipient doesn’t use Acuity.

The app helps to ensure the ideal time slot for both parties, no more waiting for the other to respond with more choices. It also helps to eliminate any time zone confusion, the app does the figuring out for both parties. It is free for the basic version and can be integrated with users’ current calendars. There is also a premium and pro plan for those who want more customization and a variety of events. The pro plan (which is what Move Forward Virtual Assistants uses, has a HIPAA-compliant option for therapy offices to use.

2.) ClickUp

ClickUp is a project management tool designed to be the only tool you need. It brings everything into one app so that you communicate, manage workflow, assign tasks, collaborate, schedule, and even process documents in one central location. It can be great for keeping your staff all on the same page. It is great for big and small businesses alike — Google, Booking.com, Uber, and even the San Diego Padres use it. Standard pricing for this software ranges from free (great for the personal user) to $19 for a business with multiple teams. ClickUp does include a HIPAA-compliant option for their larger packages.

3.) Slack

Slack is a messaging app for businesses that connects all players to the information they need. It brings people together as a unified team in a digital HQ, as they tout. It contains central spaces for conversations, tools, and people. It even allows you to communicate with teams at other companies if need be. It helps streamline work, connecting with other apps like Google Drive and Office 365. It automatically builds workflows to handle some of the everyday tasks that often take over. It also allows for file sharing. Its end goal is to make teamwork more productive. Standard pricing for Slack ranges from free to $12.50/month for larger businesses.
